Is at a critical juncture, grappling with interconnected challenges that span environmental degradation, dietary imbalances, unsustainable resource use, vulnerability to climate change, and a pervasive lack of transparency.


These multidimensional issues cannot be solved in isolation; they demand a comprehensive and adaptive approach that addresses their systemic nature.


By fostering alignment across key intervention areas— health outcomes, environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, climate resilience, economic viability, and social equity — we can transition the food system into one that is sustainable, inclusive, and resilient.



Hungary, like many Central European countries, faces a high prevalence of NCDs.


According to recent data, cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of mortality, accounting for over 50% of all deaths in the country.


Factors contributing to this include sedentary lifestyles, poor dietary habits, and environmental factors.
